Emo night, tonight.
Currently, we’re all listening to songs that may make us feel home sick as heck. I have no idea why we’re putting ourselves into this sad sad state, but I guess it’s also comforting to realize that we have each other.
Oh well, I miss home. I miss you.

It's our second day in Barcelona!
Going here, was just completely tedious! Going to the airport, boarding the plane, riding the metro, and walking to our hostel - it was just absolutely tiresome and stressful, to tell you the truth. But once we got to the hostel and got some rest (emphasis on some) it became a lot more…enjoyable, walking down the streets of Barcelona the next day.
Not to be biased or anything, but, I think...

Isn't it scary...
How our beliefs, our perception about the world, or ideas of what is, are but mere social constructs? It’s so frightening to grasp the idea that sometimes, what’s not ought to be is taken as a norm, as inherent, or as universal. Social constructs, thus, must be reviewed, examined, and assessed first, before we render them as true (or real), for if we take these for granted, they may...

Everyday discoveries
Today was a day of unexpected discoveries. As I walked the paths of my neighborhood, in search of mundane beautiful things, I came across an awfully curious building. It didn’t seem like it belonged to my particularly small and ‘suburb-y’ community. As I continued walking, I further investigated the peculiar structure and later realized it’s actually some sort of museum. I...

Museum Visit Part 3
The last museum that I wandered through is called Musee de l’Orangerie and it is situated in the middle of Place de la Concorde and Jardin des Tuileries. For this particular art gallery, I’ve already reserved a ticket online to bypass the long lines at the entrance, since I’ve heard and read online that this is one of the more popular museums in Paris. This art gallery is most...

Museum Visit Part 2
After gazing through the paintings and sculptures of some of the most famous artists in the world, I continued my journey of appreciating art by visiting a small museum a few blocks from Centre Pompidou. This museum is not as famous as the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art but I still chose to explore it for I found it very interesting that it houses dolls, and not paintings or sculptures....

Of Paintings, Sculptures, and Dolls: Museum Visit...
Yesterday, February 16, 2012, I decided to finally visit museums. Paris is just a wonderful place to experience and appreciate art. Though I have never truly been a fan of paintings, sculptures and museums in general, I gave it a try, since Paris houses some of the most remarkable museums in the world.
The first museum that I visited is the Musee National d’Art Moderne, also known as...

Today in Photos:
Today, I had to do my laundry, and of course, without the perks of having a maid or my own washing machine, I had to go to the nearest Laundry mat.
As you can see, it’s selfservice, unlike the laundry shops in the Philippines where you just leave your clothes with the laundry lady and come back after 2 or three days.
It’s fairly easy actually. You just dump your clothes in one of...

14.02.12 Forever alone...in Paris
So as I’ve said, Valentine’s was just another Tuesday here in Paris, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t celebrate it at all. After my class on torture (I think my favorite class here) I met up with Miles, Isa and Esa at the main building of Sciences Po. Our meeting time was supposed to be 5 pm but Esa arrived at around 5:45 due to some…unfortunate circumstance which...

It’s still Valentine’s day here in Paris though most of my friends back in the Philippines most likely are still sleeping, or already beginning their days early in the morning. Since I got here in Paris, I dreaded this day. I’ve always had this picture of Paris as the most romantic city in the world, and the idea of spending Valentine’s here without my significant other was...

3 words, 8 letters, say it and I'm yours.
Sometimes, we never forget words from tv shows.
I downloaded every episode of Gossip Girl to do some catching up since I stopped mid season 4. I started with the very first episode, and now I’m in season 3, episode 4.
Oh the excitement of teenage bourgeoisie drama.

My classes so far.
I’m so lucky and privileged that the first two classes that I’ve attended are interesting and engaging. I hope the three other classes I have are as fascinating.
Yesterday, I went to Sciences Po to attend my first class. After some minutes of randomly walking around and getting lost, I found my room. Room 401. The course is entitled “Urban Conflict and Social Change”. I...

Juno
Juno MacGuff: I just need to know that it's possible that two people can stay happy together forever.
Mac MacGuff: Well, it's not easy, that's for sure. Now, I may not have the best track record in the world, but I have been with your stepmother for 10 years now and I'm proud to say that we're very happy.
Mac MacGuff: Look, in my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person is still going to think the sun shines out your ass. That's the kind of person that's worth sticking with.
